I build things that work.

From custom themes and plugins to complete software tools: Whether it's a client project or my own inspired product, the craft I takes the same serious attention to quality.

DrugFree Wilco website showing improved performance and clean design
Performance Rescue

DrugFree Wilco

The Challenge

DrugFree Wilco had a website, but it was a classic case of “too many cooks in the kitchen.” Built by a well-meaning person using a generic page builder and dozens of conflicting plugins, the site was:

  • Critically Slow: Loading times were driving away mobile users.
  • Hard to Manage: The backend was a maze of settings that made simple updates impossible.
  • Technically Fragile: Plugin bloat created security vulnerabilities and frequent “breaks.”

The Solution

I stripped away the heavy page builders and external dependencies. I built a bespoke WordPress theme specifically for their content needs.

Advanced Custom Fields: Instead of a complex page builder, I created simple, custom-coded fields so a user could update content without breaking the layout.

Performance First: By writing clean, semantic code, I reduced the site’s “weight” significantly.

The Results

  • Lightning Fast: Achieving sub-2-second load times.
  • Future-Proof: A clean codebase that doesn't rely on 30+ plugins to function.
  • Empowered Staff: The team can now post community updates in minutes, not hours.

MSPS website featuring patient-first design and assessment forms
Digital Front Door

Mid-South Psychiatric Services

The Challenge

Mid-South Psychiatric Services (MSPS) is a vital healthcare provider that, until recently, had no digital presence. In a field where trust and accessibility are paramount, they lacked a central hub where patients could easily access assessment forms, check insurance compatibility, or find clear contact information.

The Solution

Starting from a blank slate, I developed a custom WordPress site designed to feel as calm and professional as their physical office. Patient-First Functionality: I integrated a prominent Assessment Form directly on the homepage, allowing new patients to start their journey instantly without needing to call and request paperwork. Administrative Efficiency: Added a “Pay Your Bill” portal and a dedicated Insurance section to reduce phone inquiries and streamline office operations. Responsive Design: Ensured the site looks and functions perfectly on everything from an iPhone to a desktop monitor, which is crucial for patients seeking care on the go.

The Results

  • Streamlined Intake: Patients can now complete their assessment online, reducing the time spent on administrative tasks during the first visit.
  • Instant Credibility: A professional online home that matches the high quality of their psychiatric care.
  • Improved Access: Patients now have a clear path to reach the clinic and manage their care 24/7.

YCMIHOC website with automated class registration and payment system
Automation & Control

You Can Make It Home Ownership Center

The Challenge

YCMIHOC provides critical services for first-time homebuyers, but their digital presence was holding them back. While the original site was functional, the owner faced a major hurdle: unreliability. Simple updates took weeks to process due to a non-responsive developer. In a fast-moving real estate and education market, waiting weeks for a change is a lost opportunity.

The Solution

I rebuilt the YCMIHOC site from the ground up with two goals: Speed and Independence. Performance Overhaul: Eliminated legacy bloat to ensure fast loading for users on mobile data. Class Automation: Integrated a custom registration and payment system. Instead of manual back-and-forth, students can now view schedules for Clarksville, Nashville, and Smyrna, register, and pay in one seamless flow. Developer Accessibility: I provided a clean, documented backend and established a reliable communication line, ensuring the owner is never “left in the dark” again.

The Results

  • Zero Wait Time: The owner now has a site that works for them, not against them.
  • Revenue Stream: Automated payments for classes reduced administrative overhead by 40%.
  • Total Control: A fast, HUD-approved resource hub that serves 500+ buyers annually without technical hitches.

PC4S community coalition website showing resources and events
Community Empowerment

Prevention Coalition For Success (PC4S)

The Challenge

PC4S is a non-profit that serve Rutherford County in creating a safe and healthy community where children surpass their potential. They’re well-organized, but for a long time, something was missing a real home online. Without a website, they were juggling Facebook posts, flyers, and word-of-mouth to share updates that often couldn’t wait. It worked, but barely.

The Solution

So I built them one. From scratch.

A simple WordPress site that became their digital town square.

The tricky part was structure. They had years of programs, projects, and resources scattered in folders and PDFs. We pulled it all together into a clear system that people could actually navigate.

We also set up a way to keep things current. A live calendar for events, training, and community meetings. It made the site feel alive instead of static. And because many people visiting are in tough situations and on their phones, we made sure the site loads fast and works flawlessly on mobile.

The Results

Now, their site does more than look good. It’s how they run things. They don’t lose time chasing down flyers or duplicate posts. Their information stays reliable, their presence feels solid, and their community knows where to turn when they need help.

"Our non-profit organization relies on Adrian to make our website visually appealing and easy to navigate. This is critical for our non-profit functioning because our website is the primary method we utilize to keep the community up to date on events and latest activities. We greatly value his high quality work. — Sarah Murfree"

Why does this matter to you?

Most developers offer surface-level skills: They know how to style (basically they post software and plugins). In “The Lab,” I constantly modify my own product thinking—and process.

If something breaks, I don’t call support. I fix it.
